The Lie we told ourselves…

Communism is dead! I remember the cheers, tears, and sighs of relief that went with that statement.  Not that Communists in themselves are evil it’s just a system that has no respect for the individual. So why is 20% of America so hard pressed revive communism?

Ronald Reagan won the cold war on a bluff, stopped the arms race and the within 5 years Democrats started gutting our military for every penny they could.  I served in the Navy during this time of “cut backs”.  I watched from one pier while our ship starved for parts the destroyer’s across from us got brand new equipment from the limited military budget then were discounted and sold to the Taiwan’s. Shuffling money from the military budget to the general fund with the lag Government has in reporting, it was called “balanced”.  Reporting incomes but not mentioning the deficiency left in our existing military to achieve that income.

Fast forward to 6 years ago…  Our largest trading partner, China, forces down and holds prisoner the men and woman on board one of our surveillance teams. China, Russia and Germany oppose us taking action against a country that has vowed our destruction.  Communist China buys IBM a cornerstone of our defense technology and intel gathering.  Russian President Vladimir Putin eliminates all the governors of the Russian territory destroying the fragile Democracy building in Russia, claiming corruption to be the cause.  Democratically elected yet now Communist leader Hugo Chavez uses the military to seize all assets of profit within his country, and uses the oil he seized to influence politics in the United States.  Russia sends nuclear technology to Iran as well as missile technology to support it. Communist leader of Iran sends troops to fight United States and destabilize Middle East peace process.  Russia plays politics and consumes control over more of the worlds Natural gas resources (Primary power generation in the United States, ONLY power generation supported by Democrats).  Iran supplies Missiles to Hezbollah who starts firing them at Israel which every country knows requires a United States response when attacked.  Democrats sweep elections with turn out at 104-115% of registered voters in large areas, finally a fair election they vow. Democratic leaders defy US policy and meet with enemies of the state to agree to use the internet and Low money contributions to solicit donations for upcoming election runs (you didn’t really think hundreds of millions of dollars was raised by dope heads on internet did you, when a politician gets more money online than the Red Cross?).  U.S. Sends a missile defense system to Israel to put a stop the missiles raining down on civilian populations.  Chavez Sends military in to eliminate the last 2 points of free speech in his country. Putin Declares the missile system in Israel is hostile and has deemed it necessary to restart the Arms race.

Sounds to me that Communism is not only alive but gaining ground.  What was the greatest lie ever told by the devil?  The same one we told ourselves.
